What have to do to get reply for even MVP. 3rd Try - Suddenly: Save to Outbox & Send problems - Out

Jerry

I have recently been having difficulties with sending emails. When I
make a reply and hit send the email saves to the outbox but does so in
bold normal type and refuses to send.

Sometimes if I make a new msg, copy by pasting everything and then
save, the email saves to outbox in italics. This is "normal" I
believe. The email goes out OK then.

This seems to have started spontaneously.

Anyone know what is happening and why. Perhaps more importantly how
do I fix it?

Check for 3rd party addins that interrogate the message. (anything that
accesses a message in the outbox and changes it from italics to normal bold
will prohibit the send.) One 3rd party product that installs an Outlook
addin that I am familiar with that causes a problem is ICQ.

Thanks very much for the reply.

I have several add-ins, seemingly. I unchecked them, closed the
program and tried again. Same result as before.

Do I need to actally uninstall them and/or reboot or something?

They are BTW:

DCCExtension
Exchange Serve property pages
Fax Server

and COM:

Norton anti-spam

I would reboot after unchecking the following...

dccextensions (winfax pro)
norton antispam (antispam)
fax server (?)

/neo

ps - winfax can be a pain in the tush. you might have to
uninstall/reinstall and choose not to integrate with outlook

Mystery deepens?

I have uncheck all in Add-Ins Mgr. Incidentally I been funning WinFax
for years without a problem. Fax Server is ZetaFax but this problem
occurred before installing that.

AFA Norton anti-spam is concerned I have only tried it disabled
because it persistently return (and checked) in the COM Add-in even
when disabled.

I have rebooted. I have even re-installed outlook.

The problem remains. Any other ideas?

uninstall winfax, the fax server, and antispam. test outlook to see if
messages hang. if they don't add one program back at a time until you get a
duplication.
