What does this mean?

This dialog box came up when I rebooted & I don't know what it means:

"You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way
Windows starts.
The System Configuration Utility is currently in Diagnostic or Selective
Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the utility to be run
every time Windows starts.
Choose the normal startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally
and undo the changes you made using the System Configuration Utility."

I would like to undo since I don't know what I inadvertently did. The
message gives no hint where the General tab may be.

As stated in the System Configuration Utility. Go Start/Run/type "msconfig"
and press ENTER.

I didn't recall seeing anytrhing about, "Go Start/Run/type "msconfig" > and
press ENTER." But I'll try it anyway.

Actually you may prefer to start in Selective Start-up mode. I always do.
Then you can choose to prevent programs from starting regardless unless you
really want them to. Otherwise you can get a long boot if you've got a lot
of stuff there.
