What Can I Delete in Works Suite

B

Bruce

My daughter got a Dell that came preinstalled with WinXPHome, and
Microsoft Works Suite 2004. It contains Encarta, Word, Picture It!,
Works, Streets, and Money. All she wants to keep is Word, Picture It!,
and she's still deciding on Works.

If she uninstalls Encarta, Streets, and Money, I assume all the other
programs, including Works will still work, since they can be launched
separately. But, since Works is a 'container' from which she can also
launch all the programs, will she get error messages like 'can't find
Money' when she launches Works?

Oops, she just IM'd me that she did uninstall Encarta, Streets, and
Money. Guess I'll find out soon. So far, the only difference is that
Works does not list the removed programs in it's Quicklaunch bar.

Any comments?

Well, Bruce, I'm certainly on the edge of my chair--I sure hope you'll
post an update, or I may not be able to sleep tonight.

Hey, Herb, know how to keep a wise-guy in suspense? I'll tell you
tomorrow. <g>
