WGA Fails, says Vista is not genuine

Carey, This is intermitent. If I just reboot it's gone. May be gone for
several more days (re-boots). Then, if by magic, it appears again. I don't
think your answer, "re-boot" solves the problem long term, only for that
particular re-boot.

I downloaded and started the install and it sais "this update does not apply
to your computer". Is that becauyse I'm running Vista SP1?
 
So does that mean I will no longer get windows updates as long as I'm running
SP1? What a bummer........ Will you include this update/fix in SP1
revisions?
 
I backed out SP1 and it still occurs at times. Not always at startup.
Computer was fine then I ran Windows update and it opoed up? Your
updatefails with "does not apply". What do I do now?
 
hey Bill, I'm having the same problem. Seems like we're just getting the
runaround. I tried downloading a hotfix but keep getting an error message 40
saying it can;t unzip all the files. It's causing probsnow cause it's
blocking stuff like media player.... I'll be watching your thread with
interest! Ann
