Reinstall of Vista not genuine

D

Daniel

Hi

I have Vista Ultimate Upgrade, I just did an upgrade of my Vista Ultimate
PC because my power went down in the middle of installing updates and
several failed but will not reinstall.

The upgrade went well and I ran the updates, all 45 of them and the PC
booted.

I now have a message on my Desktop, a watermark on the lower right, that
says
Vista TM Build 6000, this copy of windows is not genuine:
I also got a message that Aero is not working and that I may be the victim
of counterfeit software.

I ran the validation download and I got a pass.

What is happening here and how do I fix it.

BTW, the install was activated without question.

thanks

Daniel

You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4

2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Select your Country.

4. Follow the instructions for phone activation.

5. Once completed, restart your computer.
