Hi all,

I have a problem. I had a genuine vista, bought before two months with Sony
PC.
Everything was fine, but couple day ago i installed a Microsoft Flight
simulator, and now i got some problem with my PC.
Everytime i starting my PC, i'm having error, that "aero not working, you
can be a victim of software counterfeiting".

Also i cannot do an updates. Getting error 8000FFFF. it is releated with a
genuine

Steps, which i made to try to troubleshout.

I made clean boot- the same.
Check if my windows is activated - Activated
Check a validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine - validation is succesfull
Checked if a Software Licensing Aoftware - running

So any ideas, what can i do next.

Thanks in advance.

It's likely that you are running out of resources for both Aero, your Theme,
and Flight Sim, both of which are extreamly resource intensive. Turn off the
Aero theme if you want to run Flight Sim, and the error will probably stop.
I would guess that you can safely ignore the warning about being a "victim
of software counterfeiting" even if you decide to keep both going.

Thanks for an opinion.
But problem is, that it is related with updates. Then i'm trying to do an
updates, it is saying me error 8000FFFF and suggested to check if i have
genuine copy at Microsoft.com/genuine. After i'm checking it, again promoting
to install updates and again please check genuine. I want to get rid of these
errors somehow

You've probably been unfairly targeted by the much hated WGA (Windows
Genuine Advance) SPY program!

Are you sitting down? Unknown to most users Microsoft is deliberately
SPYING on you and everyone else in a sneaky way, behind your back. Not
once to confirm you have a legal copy of Windows, but over and over
again. This spying is built into the latest versions of XP and of
course was always part of Vista, yet another reason Vista is sluggish.

This sinister WGA routine is suppose to check your Windows license key
against a database of keys at Microsoft headquarters. If your key is
marked as counterfeit you may see some popup and likely won't be able
to apply Windows Updates. How or if it interferes with your use of
Vista varies widely. Of course Microsoft assumes we all are guilty
until it can prove you're innocent. Most people would be upset knowing
this, not the moronic fanboy crowd that are too stupid to know
anything.

I encourage anyone unlucky enough to experience this to really curse
out the numbskulls at Microsoft calling their free support phone
numbers. Then demand they apologize and fix what is most likely their
blunder.

If you're SURE you have a real copy of Vista, still have the
packaging, original disk, etc., be shocked again to learn that up to
90 percent of WGA counterfeit notices are false positives. Something
that Microsoft has been forced to sheepishly admit to.

One way to fix it is to get the morons at Microsoft to remove your
FALSE counterfeit product key from their Database, another is to get
them to give you a new one.

So what me to do? Call to MS and said, please remove my key from a database,
o have a legal version of windows.:))

As i told it was working with me before installing a MS flight simulator.
I think it can be such kind of MS bug, but i cannot find nothing about that

You are prompted to activate Windows Vista after you install Windows Vista
Service Pack 1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947519

When will you realize you're not helping?

Hint: Your posts aren't helpful at all, they usually contain wild off
target guesses, they are usually poorly thought out copy and paste
canned answers, often not designed for the question you responded to
like above or you are just making wild guesses making yourself look
REALLY dumb.

You keep asking for comments if your answer was helpful. Well, I just
gave you mine thoughts. Stop spaming this newsgroup with your moronic
web based canned answers that are 99% off target and accordingly next
to useless.

How would I rank your answers? On a scale of 1 to 100, you get at best
a 5 and only that on the rare times just by luck your answer may come
close to being appropriate to the question. Most of the them your
answers totally miss the mark.

What is the source of this "Microsoft Flight simulator"? "Unofficial",
perhaps?
It sounds to me like you've been infected by a virus or some form of
malware.

Is your AV up to date? What about anti-malware tools? Have you performed
*complete* scans?
