Welcome screen

Is it possible to disable the welcome screen in XP?
For some reason, when I installed Office 2003, the welcome screen started
appearing when I turn on my computer.
I am the only person that uses this computer so it gets kind of annoying.

Hi,

It appears because you are now set to halt at the logon screen. It's easy to
change. Click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes)
and click ok. Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click
apply/ok and follow the prompts to set up a default logon.
