I've checked that in Tweak UI as well as in the registry.
Now what?

If it has been disabled:

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count
s.asp

To verify if the program qualifies:

Overview of Mail Notification Display on WinXP Welcome Screen

To remove an account or to change the count manually Got to:
Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.

Hi Brian,

Which e-mail client are you using? Also, did this happen after you upgraded
Messenger? If so and if you are using Hotmail, you will need to download
the add-in to restore the function.

I've checked that in Tweak UI as well as in the registry.
Now what?
