A computer that was previuosly connecting to the network
fine is not connecting to the network anymore. DHCP is
set up on the router but when i try to use it on the pc
the ip address and subnet mask are wrong(both are outside
the scope). It also does not show any gateway. I
manually set it to the ip address shown for it on the
client list in the router and it still did not work. I
have also tried the repair function in the status window
and the dos command "ipconfig /renew", both failed. I
also tried uninstalling the network card and disabling it
in the bios(its an onboard card) and then enabling it
again. Nothing worked. There are 4 other computers
connecting fine to the router.

What IP address is the computer getting? What did the error messages
say when you tried to repair the connection and when "ipconfig /renew"
failed? That information would help other people diagnose the
problem.

If the IP address is 169.254.x.x, it means that the computer failed to
communicate with the router's DHCP server. That could be due to a
hardware problem (NIC, cable, router port) or a software problem with
the NIC driver or configuration. This web page has some suggestions
that should help:
