weird chars in ipconfig/all

Laptop's "ipconfig /all" report looks weird with strange characters for
certain addresses. Is the following normal? This particular laptop is also
unable to see the Workgroup; I want the laptop to access the shares on a
networked Win98, but may the following report provides clues why things are
not working?

Hello, Eric!

Thank you. Another point of interest regarding the network. The Win98se
pc can see and share files on the XP laptop, but not the other way around.
But my application requires being able to send files to the "main" Win98se
pc.

I also notice that the ipcong/all report on the XP laptop indicates the
following:

"Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Teredo Tunneling
Pseudo-Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::5445:5245:444f%6
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled

So.. considering that file sharing already works in one direction
(W98se-to-XP), wouldn't it be better to just enable NetBIOS over TCPIP in
IPv6 before I go ahead and uninstall IPv6 on the XP laptop?
