I went to a website that uses a link to Invision forums on their site. But on
the site itself, it asks for your Invision username and password, and low and
behold.. your into his forums.

How do you allow ppl to sign in to your website, so that the username and
password are shared with Invision boards?

I assume there's a facility to allow people to sign up for themselves, to
your forum? Presuming this is just a "remotely hosted" forum/bulletin
board, then people will sign up for their own account with "your" forum.

All you need to do is add a link to the forum login on your home page. There
is a way to add the login script, but it's involved..... You need to add
sections of the forum's configuration to the home page. I just did a simlar
project with a shopping cart. The site owner wanted just the "New Products"
on the site's home page, which is not part of the cart system. It required
writing a new config file and making stripped-down copies of several other
files that are inherent in the cart system, just to get the "New Products"
box on the home page. You may also want to try searching Invision's forums
for a mod that may just do that. I use PHPBB, not Invision, so i don't know
how they do things.
