I can surf and go to the different web pages ok, but the previous pages don't close always. AT some point after going to 6-7 sites the explorer slows considerably. My question is how to fix this. I remember something about dos having active windows in config.sys setup. Does somebody remember the commands to do this? Maybe something with javascript for ie6? Any suggestions?

Dennis,

Under Tools - Internet Options - Advanced, check the setting under Browsing:
Reuse windows for launching shortcuts.

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
