New computer, running XP and ie 6.0....some of the web
pages I reach are showing up about 1/2 size, making it
hard to read. How do I assure that all my web pages will
fill the screen when displaying? Thanks in advance

Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.

It isn't that the web page opens small (as in minimized),
the web page is fully open (maximized), but the page
doesn't fill the entire page, only about 1/2. On my
other computer, it fills the page. Bob

Remove any 'Auto-hide' option for the Windows taskbar and while the window
is maximized, resize the taskbar then return it to the desired size. This is
to try to make Windows re-calculate the window size and boundaries.

If no joy, run regedit and remove these registry key values:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

Then reboot.

Do both computers utilize the same screen resolution (e.g., 1024 x 768)? More
than likely, they do not. If that's the case, there is not much you can do,
since it indicates the website in question is designed for a fixed width
(versus "fluid," or "dynamic").
