I've just bought the hp pavilion v70s, with Windows XP
and I'm trying to figure out if it has a web editor
installed, like netscape composer (which it doesn't have).

Download and install the latest Mozilla (full version, not just the
browser) from www.mozilla.org. You'll find Composer in it.

I presume this software isn't delivered by default from HP, but you can
easily obtain Mozilla (replacement of Netscape) for free from
www.mozilla.org. Version 1.5 just released. Includes Composer as the
HTML editor, along with a terrific browser, email/newsgroup client, etc.
