WD 1592

Hello Engel or Bill S.:
This may be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway.... Since I've downloaded
the latest WD version (1592) I don't see the "Beta 2" wording anymore. Does
this mean that WD is no longer a Beta version? And if this is true, is there
an expiration date on WD and if so, when?
Thanks,

Hello Fwall,

No fear, they are not stupid question in this NG, sometimes are stupids
answers.

Right, no more Betas.

From now on, we should be recibing Engines and Signatures Updates.

Take care and good luck.

Yes, it is no longer beta. I assume that means no expiration date, but
don't know that for sure. Definition updates are still labelled as beta,
but I don't think there is any significance to that.

Expiration dates will only come into force when MS decides to charge for
WD (and you will need to activate it like other MS products). At
present it doesn't look like but who knows what will happen in a years
time!!
