While i was Exploring - i came across theis file name - path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Samantha\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities.
It expands futher, about 12 numerical folders. referecing microsoft &
outlook and some mail or newsgroup related files.
Can i delete?
Just want to clean up some junk files and never saw these before...

example: C:\Documents and Settings\MYNAMEXXX\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{F4B73CE8-E580-4046-BAE7-99084B83AF01}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express

Now agian, theres about 12 of these files, look the same but different
contents.

My default email is Outlook 2002,, not Outlook express, but another user
logs on to outlook express to get to the newsgroups, or a spare email
account.
Also, how do i create a shortcut on my desktop to access the newsgroups, so
one does not have to open outlook express?

thanks.

For every OE user open OE and go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store
Folder and write down the complete path.
If you make sure you do not delete those paths you can delete all of the
other identities.

OE is a better way to access newsgroups that IE and Outlook uses OE for the
purpose. In Outlook Express go to Tools | Accounts | Add (or New) | News.
Set up an account for this news server:

msnews.microsoft.com

The server is free and does not require you to logon. This news server
carries over 2200 newsgroups related to Microsoft products and keeps
messages at least 30 days.
