? way to apply same background to multiple slides simultaneously

I do not use a master because my show involves numerous "sub masters" Each
song or announcement has different characteristics, but when I change the
background to a song with multiple slides, I find myself doing the changes
one slide at a time. Is there any way to change just some of the slide'
backgrounds simultaneously?

Grateful,
Just select the slides you want to change the background from in the outline
thumbnail view (use ctrl+click to select slides that are not in sequence, or
click and shift+click if they are) on your left. Go to Format Background,
apply whatever settings you want click OK and click on the apply button.

In addition to what Luc said, you can also go into Slide Sorter view and do
the same thing. This might be easier because you can see a lot more slides
this way to select.
