want to give some of my adresses to other outlook user

I am lost in knowledgebase articles, Outlook help and earlier messages on
this forum. There seems to be some possibilities, but I just don´t fully
understand the information.

So if someone please could give some simple step by step advice, I would be
very grateful.

This is what I want to do:

I want to hand over some of my contact information from my Outlook 2000
pst-file, to my wife, so she can use them on her computer (running Outlook
2002). I.ve got 1062 adress entries, in my adress book/contacts fiolder.
About one hundred is of interest to her.

Both machines use Windows XPHome (and are connected trough a local home
network)

Create a second Outlook Data File (File > New...)
Copy the Contacts you want to transfer into it. Note its name and location
(it will have a .pst extension).
Close Outlook.
Give this PST file to your wife and have her open it in her version of
Outlook (File > Open...). She can copy these Contacts into her default
Contacts Folder. When she's done, she can then close this second PST file.

Thanks a lot!

This worked, and was quite easy to perform.

I figured out the step you omitted between the first and second: Add a
contacts folder to the new, second, Outlook Data file (File-Folder-New,
Folder content: Contact)

(Since I have swedish version, the terms might differ in english)

That step may or may not be necessary, depending on how you transfer your
data and which version you are using when you create the new PST file. But
you are correct, it is better to include the step of expressly creating a
Contacts Folder in the new PST.
