Address book of Hotmail account and Outlook Contacts

Can any one suggest how to prevent the Hotmail contacts to update from the
Outlook contacts? I am facing this problem as my wife shares her Hotmail
account on my Outlook and the contacts get copied to her address book.

Is the hotmail account set as the default delivery location? You should
have another outlook data file set as default.

The connector syncs the hotmail contacts to the local copy of the hotmail
folders and it should be set as an address book for sending email, but they
will not be copied to other contacts folders in the profile.

Dianne,

The Hotmail is not the default delivery account. It is only used to receive
mails.
