how do i import contacts from hotmail

I want to add my hotmail contacts to my office outlook address book. I can't
even enter new names into the address book handrauliclly. Why is everything
so over managed in the world of microsoft?

You don't add contacts in the Addressbook view. You add them in Contacts....
