Waiting for ICS

I have 3 PC's on XP (2 Pro, 1 Home). The ICS dial-up PC is Pro. When the dial
line is disconnected and users try to browse the internet, the non-ICS
systems get a "server not found" message. I realize that the ICS is dialing,
but it sometimes takes a minute or two. The non-ICS user get confused and
call me saying the internet is down. Is there a way to hang their browsers
until the connection is complete? Or tell them to wait for dialing to
complete? Thanks.

You could likely change the time-out value or, alternatively, leave the one
PC always on. With ICS and dialup you're asking a lot from a little and so
long as it suits you that's fine but a second line is well worth the price
compared to the wait you'll find when the page really is down and your time
out is set to 2 ½ minutes.

What time-out value are you referring to?

Pick a site, any site. You'll be looking for "TTL" values. You CAN make it
wait the entire time (if it is connected all the time then there's no need
to wait - check your network settings for problems but it will not help you
one bit.
