W32/Parite and task manager

I have recently deleted the W32/Parite virus off my
computer, among others! I can no longer get access to
task manager and was wondering wher I can find it on my
computer to check if it has been deleted as an infected
file, I had to remove over 80 exe's and nearly three
hundred files were repaired.
Thanks for any help in advance

The file is taskmgr.exe and it lives in
c:\windows\system32

Good luck with your repair -

Thanks,
The xp_tweak didn't work but I managed to get task manger
up from using the second link.
Everytime I shutdown and run up my computer and look at
task man there is an application called csfix.exe running.
It doesn't appear to have any affect on performance but I
have never noticed it in the applications window beofore.
Also Task man still wont open when I press ctrl Alt del.
Any thoughts?

Hi,

Run the edit on line 275
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

If that doesn't help, this will:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_emerutils.htm

Start from there, then end the processes and delete the appropriate runkeys.
Good luck!

According to Google, csfix.exe is connected to a trojan. I think you've
not cleared off your computer completely and there's a good chance you
are still infected with various malware. What antivirus program did you
run? Just doing the registry edits isn't enough to disinfect your
computer. Post back if you need more help.
