W2k3 wont boot

ok, this is an odd problem. I have w2k3 server. I had a problem Friday to
where after being on for awhile, I would hear 'ticking' or somethign happen
everyso often. Then after a while of that, the system froze. Upon reboot,
it told me there was some bad spot on the hard disk and it went through the
process of fixing it. This morning, I went to turn teh system on, and it
would get to the Windows splash screen, and reboot.
I tried Safe mode, it would freeze before going to far, I tried cold boot,
nothing. I dropped in the w2k3 Cd, and here is where it got interesting.

I had it repair the install, no problems.
I had it reboot, and did nothign when it asked to push any key to boot from
the CD. It booted normally, got teh log in screen, everythign was fine.
Except it couldn't find my Admin profile. SInce it logged me one with a
temp profile, I renamed the admin profile, logged off, then back on no
problem. I was thinking maybe a file got corupted in teh admin profile. I
run defrag to see if it finds any problems. Nothing
I take teh w2k3 cd out, and shut down teh machine. I wat a little bit and
turn it back on. Non-system disk error again.
I drop the cd in, hit the rest button. I have skip booting from the cd,
and WIndows starts just fine., cd out, no boot. cd in, boots.
I tried "fixmbr" It said it was done, same issue. No disk, no-boot.
Disk in-Boots perfectly.

I ran a virus scan (updated def and all) it found nothing.

Any ideas??

Sounds like the drive failed. Download and run a diagnostic utility from the
drive manufacturer's web site.

Given the clicking and file system errors it is the first place to start.
