W2K upgrade freezes at com+

Hi there
Was not paying attention when I was trying to fix W2K and
started an upgrade with the W2K cd. I first tried with my
boot disks but a file was corrupt and it aborted.
So it stops when it is trying to install, or check COM+
(don't remember the exact place).
Can I get around this particular glitch, or can I boot
from the cd, or am I SOL?

Does it hang at registering COM+ Components? If so, try the following:

1-press SHIFT+F10 to get to a command prompt

2-type in "taskmgr" to get task manager up

3-end the dllhost.exe process

The setup should continue. If not try stopping the GRPCONV.EXE processes.
