Cannot Upgrade from NT to W2K

M

Manoj Saxena

I have an NT Server. I want upgrade it to Windows 2000
machine.

I have the following problems:

1. Cannot boot from the W2K CD as computer does not have
that option.
2. Boot from the W2K boot disks cannot find hard drives
so it fails.

This is dual processor Celerion box.

Please help.

I am assuming that you have checked that your hardware
meets the minimum requirements and that all hardware is on
the HAL. When doing an upgrade you should instert the CD
Rom while in Win NT 4. If it does not start automatically
you can run the winnt32.exe command. I recommend checking
the first two things mentioned before doing this. An
upgrade can't be performed from booting from a CD OR a
boot floppy.
