W2K Server not found in Win98 workstation

My Win98 workstation cannot see and locate the W2K server,
what can i do? Do i need to install some patch?

Have you confirmed that your 98 machine is on the network and communicating
at some level? Can you ping the server by name or IP address?

Is WINS installed on the server, as W9x needs it?
