Windows NT Cannot Connect to W2k Domain

I have a w2k domain. All of my w2k and xp workstations
can log on to the domain. I was unable to join the
domain using a winnt 4.0 workstation/win98 win95. I
created a computer account for the winnt 4.0 workstation
and then it did join the domain. I reboot. After I
rebooted, I have to the option to select the domain, but
when I try to logon, it tells me that the domain
controller cannot be contacted.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Got WINS installed on the server? W9x, ME and NT4 need it.
Make sure DHCP has options 003, 006, 015, 044 and 046 (0x8) set.

I have two servers, and yes one of them does have WINS
installed. We are not using DHCP, static IP addressing.

Why wouldn't you use DHCP? It will make life much easier for you. Now you'll
have to go to each client and make sure that they are pointing to the right
server for DNS and WINS.
