W2K Server drops connections

I have to seperate servers, in 2 different locations. Each
one is running W2K Sp4 and both have built in Intel
NIC's. At one site there is an XP Pro machine with an
Intel NIC, running DHCP, that overnight drops it's
connection to the server. I can still get out to the
internet with it, but I cannot get to the server. The
server has a static IP address. I have the same problem
at another site where the W2K SP4 server with an Intel NIC
loses/drops connections to Dell OptiPlex with Broadcom
NIC, which are using Static IP addresses. All can still
get to the internet, just not to the server. I disabled
Power management on the NIC's and it still does it. Any
ideas??

You disabled power management on the NICs in the workstations?
Are the systems going into hibernation, suspension?
What is in the log file?

I have disabled hibernation and power management. When I
try to see the drives thru My Computer I get an error
message about the drive name already being in use. The
drives are not X'ed out. I cannot connect to some netowrk
apps that I run, either. But I can connect to the
internet. Any ideas? The Win98 and ME machines do not
experience any of this.

Drive already in use? Are you trying to map a drive? Is there something
scheduled to run at night?
The only thing I can think of, related to this error, is when you have a
persistent mapping which Win9x and ME cannot do.

Ex.
net use f: \\server\share password /u:domain\user /persistent:yes

You can also use:
net use f: \\server\share password /u:domain\user /persistent:no

All this does is keep mappings between boots when set to yes. However, if a
drive is already mapped and you try to remap, you'll get the above error.
