W2k on disc > 137GB possible? How?

Hi,

My problem: In my PC I have a northbridge SATA RAID0 with 400G. As u
know, w2k does not suppport harddiscs > 137G, but since SP3 u set

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\parameter\EnableBigLba
= 1

in the registry and it works. So far so good.

Now I would like ro remove all other IDE drives from my pc, and boot
from the 400G Raid0 array. To do so i need to install W2K on it. I
have a bootable W2K+SP4 slipstream CD, I also have the Raid.driver to
feed W2k during install (F6), but I think that switch EnableBigLba is
set to 0 "out of the box", becaus W2k recognizes only 137G of the 400G
drive, formats it, and installs W2k on it. Naturally I want the full
400G and I want it in one big partition. How can I achieve that?? Is
it possible at all? By the way, Partition Magic 8 supports drives up
to 160G only, so that wont help. Any ideas? TIA - Klaus

One thing you could try is to preformat the raid array to the full
400G and then install to it, even though the W2K install program would
see it as 137G.
