W2K keeps crashing to blue screen

What software program are you using to burn your DVD's? Is this a
program that you installed recently, when you added the DVD drive?

It's Nero but I've been using it for months with no problems... it's
only the drive I've added that's new to my PC's setup. But as I said,
I'm not 100% sure that the crashes weren't occurring *before* that...
At the moment I haven't had a crash for a day now, and I'm not sure
whether that's due to the newly-updated firmware or just pot luck.

Nope, it's just as I originally posted it -- and it's always the same
message, character-for-character. That's why it's hard to pin down.

Look in the event log maybe something shows there.

Nothing that makes sense to me... I've cleared all logs now so I'll
have a fresh list in case it happens again. Good idea!
