W2k - delete avi file - access denied

I am trying to delete a 4GB .avi file - using windows explorer it just locks up so tried the command prompt and get the "access denied" message. I am the system administrator with full privileges. Any other suggestions please?
 
Reboot in Safe Mode, then delete the file.
