I have one Windows 2000 laptop with service pack 4 that will load up the
Welcome to Windows screen. I cannot get past the prompt of Ctrl+Alt+Delete
to login. I have tried several keyboards to no avail. It just doesn't do
anything. I have even unpluged the network and tried that/

The same problem occurs in safe mode, so I cannot even get into it.

ANy ideas on what would cause the computer to stop responding at that point?

Everything seems fine up to that screen.....

Do you have the proper username and password? Without
these,it will not let you pass this screen.
 
I cannot even get to the screen where I would enter the user name and
password. And yes, once I can get to it, I do have the correct information.

The computer will simply display that Cntrl+Alt+ Delete message. When I
try the key combination, nothing happens...
