I have 2 xp home laptop where I have problem connecting to shared resources
on VPN
We use PIX 501 VPN users log on to PIX then use share resources. either
IP\share resources on server_name\share recources.
on these laptop I get connected to pix fine but cannot use any shares,
No error messages only can not find path \\10.100.1.92\shares.
when I ping the server after connection to VPN I get this replies
C:\Documents and Settings\fred.CTS>ping 10.100.1.92

First of all, you need to assign a pool for the VPN client. You also need to add a access-list command to allow VPN client to access the LAN. This sample may help,

this is only happening in two of my laptops with XP home
the others are working ok.

if i select the default gateway from tcp/ip tab it works if i deselect the
obtion , i can not ping the server any thoughts?

posting the routing table here may help. To do that, use route print command.
