Newbie here so easy on me

I have a windows 2000 server and a xp pro client, My client is in south
America and we are here in the USA,I would like him to vpn to us. we have a
vpn router on our end , he only has a regular router on that end that he uses
as a firewall, he connect to the internet using cable and once in a while he
would like to connect to us but using a vpn connection.
Is there a step by step giide that I can use to accomplish this setup my
server and helping the client to setup the computer , I know for some of you
this is a day to day scenario, for me is all new.

Use RRAS on the Server. RRAS is what makes the VPN "happen". Set it up to
accept incomming VPN Connection. you are looking at a "Remote Access
VPN",...not a "Router-to-Router VPN", those are two different things.
