VPN & Remote Desktop

I was able to connect from home to the office using Remote Desktop over a
VPN for a few months. Our Domain Controller then crashed and had to be
rebult. Ever since then I can connect to the office LAN but I can't see or
ping any machines, so I can't connect to any of them. Unfortunately I'm the
only one who has this problem, there are 3 other guys who are unaffected.
We are using Server2003, and XP Pro sp2 for the workstations.

Has anybody got any ideas.

Thanks
Frank

How was it rebuilt? Restored from backup, or redone from scratch? Did any
information change? Computer names? LAN IP addresses?

Can you ping anything by its LAN IP?

How were you doing name resolution before - WINS? Local LMHOSTS file?

The O/S was installed from scratch.

I can't ping anything by its LAN IP even though I can connect to the LAN
using VPN.

Names weren't resolving, we were just using the IP addresses.

Hope your network guys learned the value of good backups. This shouldn't
have to happen like this!

Something is awry in your VPN setup. What kind of VPN?
