Hello,

I need to know the following and if someone can help me I
would deeply
appreciate it.

I have a laptop from which I use the Sonic Wall VPN Client
to connect to my
company's server a thousand miles away. Now I know that
all internet
traffic goes through that connection when it is active.

My question is, I have this laptop on my home network.
Can the people on
the other end of the VPN see what I am doing on any other
computer besides
my laptop on my home network if this laptop is connected
via the VPN? The
laptop is on a different domain than my home network.

Hi -

The short answer is no - the folks on the other end of
the VPN can't see what's happening on your home network.

Hope this helps -

I don't want to belabor the issue, and thank you very much
for your response. But when you say "short answer" does
that mean that they could see what's going on should they
choose to?

I'm gonna backtrack a bit on this one.

SonicWall's VPN client does allow configuration of the
remote machine - I'm not familiar with their client so
it's possible they can see what you're doing on the
client machine but I think it's highly unlikely they can
see other machines on your network.

JBL-
They can only see your computer. The tunnel is via IP
address.
