If i got a server (Win 2000 server) at Head Office, and
got 3 branch office would like to connect to the server in
Head Office through Remote Desktop.

Can i do it by VPN ?
Do i need just a VPN router for each office?
What kind of router i need ?
Is Gateway-to-Gateway VPN router okay ?
or do i need a Remote-to-Gateway VPN router for the head
office?

Please help!

VPN would connect a client machine to server machine. A Gateway to gateway
would connect two networks. Are the 3 branch office part a single network or
are they 3 different networks?

It really depends on what you want. If you just want a machine from a
branch to connect occasionally, you can set up A VPN server at the central
office and make individual "dialup" style connections.

If you want the whole local network to operate as a single entity, you
will need to set up router to router (also knows as site to site or LAN to
LAN) VPN connections from each branch to the central site. There is lots of
info in help, or search the Microsoft site - heaps of info there!
