VPN networks XP

Hi

I have already asked this question and I am afraid I am
still totally confused.

When I try and connect via the vpn I am asked for a user
name and password but dont understand what user name and
password.

Is it my broadband connection or the broadband connection
user name and password used at work.

Does the host/server machine at the office need to be
configured.

Does being on cable cause a problem?

If you are creating a VPN with another machine which is
running Exchange and you want to access your email etc.,
then you should be entering your Exchange user name and
password, the same as you would use when logging on in
the office.

If not, post some more info!
