VPN disconnects after two minutes

We have about 2-3 users that can connect to our Windows 2003 VPN server
without a problem but then get disconnected after about 2 minutes. They are
all connecting from Windows XP Pro via a broadband router and DSL or cable.
The idle time out is set to never disconnect on the client. Other users can
connect and stay connected without incident.

I think they are all using Linksys broadband routers.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

I had this in the past, and it was due to the firmware of the router.

2 minutes sharp ... dead.

I found no way to prove it except the router manufacturer told me the
minimum firmware supported for VPN.

Good luck

Ah, excellent suggestion. I'll try that.
Thanks
