VPN connection drops on Windows XP intermittently

There is a knowledge base article that addresses this,
but since I bought the laptop from Dell, there is no way
I can contact Microsoft.

After One Minute

On my Win XP Pro laptop, I can connect to my office VPN
from home, but get disconnected after every minute or so.
My laptop has a wireless adapter. My desktop which also
runs Win XP Pro is connected to the cable modem via a
wire (i.e. not wireless) can connect to my office VPN ans
stay connected without any problem.

Anybody see the same thing?

Have you tried contacting Microsoft - they may supply the
fix even for an OEM version if this is the only place the
fix is available.

Alternatively, contact Dell who may have a version of the
fix from Microsoft.
