I have a Medion Model MD 8030 Computer running Windows XP
Home Edition. This PC has Multimedia features, including
a TV function. Every time the multimedia functions are
accessed, the volume is "muted".Opening the Volume
Control window reveals that AUX/TV is Checked at the Mute
Box. Also the Line In box is Muted. When these boxes are
unchecked, the volume is fine and controllable. Each time
the program is shut down and then re-opened, The Mute
boxes go back to being checked.

Is there anyway a default setting can be made to leave
these Mute boxes un-checked?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Tom,

Check with your computer manufacturer, etc. I am running the Media Center
2004 here and don't have any of the issues you have described. I know this
doesn't help you, but with that said, this isn't a really a Windows issue
until you check the proper channels. Good luck!
