Volume Control Program

Group:

Something has blown away my speaker icon on the botton task bar. I go to
control panel and launch sounds and audio. On the general tab, it has two
boxes. One is mute, I can mute and unmute from hear. The other box is,
"place icon in taskbar." When I try to select that, it gives error message
saying volume control program is not installed, install it in Control Panel
from add/remove programs. When I look in add/remove programs, don't see any
option to install the volume control program.

Any feedback on how to get this feature back is appreciated.

Thank you,
gjt
