Volume Control

I had Volume Control on my computer. Today I turned on my computer and it was
gone having no ability to listen to music...etc.

Reinstall the drivers for your sound card; they are possibly damaged.
After that you may still need to open Control Panel, Sounds and Audio
Devices, and check "Place volume icon in the taskbar".

Where did my sounds go?
