volume control

I've lost my volume control in the tray and when I try to
turn it on in the control panel it says it's not
installed.

Through the command prompt I tried to reload it from the
disk with:

e:
cd i386
expand sndvol32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

I then get a prompt that no destination has been
specified.

Please help.
