Voice & CID Modems

Hi

Has anybody moved from Win Me (with a fully functional modem taking
telephone messages and showing CID) to XP Pro (with a fully functional
modem taking telephone messages and showing CID)?

I certainly have not. The modem manufacturer keeps pointing at different
drivers None of which gives me my TAM & CID back!

Am I alone in wanting this?

It appears that the Wave Device for Voice Modem equivalent in XP will not
load the 'new' drivers.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Let me get my crystal ball out. mmmmmm. Nope still too fuzzy. If you want help then at the very least the make and model of your modem would be helpful. There may be a unique initialization string or something or a driver from someone else who has made the voice option work. Post back with some details and we can help. {:~)

Upgraded to V92 in desperation - newer(93) drivers. Still doesn't install
the Wave driver.
