VMWare - XP installation error

My host PC is Windows 2000 SP 4.
I installed VMWare Workstation 6 and then tried to install XP.
However, I got the 'STOP' error (ie. blue screen with text) in the middle of
the XP installation. I retried but still got the same error. It did not say
any reason of the error, usually this STOP error will mention the file
causes the problem.
 
but it does provide a stop code. thats what is used to start your search.
