vmmhiber.w9x fragged all over

I am running XP Pro which I upgraded from Me. The defrag utility shows the
vmmhiber.w9x to be in 6 fragments totaling 768 Mb but it doesnt show up in
the Windows directory. I am viewing hidden and system files and have tried
Search as well. How do I get this off of the computer without taking drastic
measures?? I have removed all of the Me setup files, but it is still there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx, BB.

Right click the desktop.
Click Properties > Screensaver tab > Power button > Hibernate tab.
Uncheck "Enable hibernation".
Click Apply > Ok > Ok.

If you go back and recheck "Enable hibernation", the file will be rebuilt
fresh but smaller. The file is created when you use hibernate.

Does the computer have to actually enter hibernate? I made the changes but
the file did not resize. I set it to hibernate after 1 hour, so I guess I'll
know soon!! Thanks again, BB.

If you're on a PC and not a laptop/notepad, don't bother using hibernate.
If you want to test again, uncheck "Enable hibernation", Apply > Ok > Ok
out and reboot to see if the file is removed.
If so, re-enable it and see if it reappears before actually hibernating.
