my friend has a lap top, sony- v10 or v1o, it has windows xp home edition
computer model pcg 9b3l. version 5.1.2600, service pack 2, build 2600
when i try to defrag, i get a popup that says you have 10% space, and i need
at least 15% space to de frag. this is what i have now
file sys. capacity free space %
free space
C ntfs 7.47gb 818mb
10%
D ntfs 11.14gb 11.11gb 99%
c runs the defragmenter

it also says that there is
total fragments 27%
file fragments 36%
total fragmented files 3,649
total excess fragments 43,226

i hope this is enough info. to tell me some way to defrag. tks a bunch, bob

Drag some big non-system folder and subfolder structure to D:. This will copy
everything over, and then delete that folder on C: and defrag C:, then drag
it back, and delete the D: copy.
