VIVO video card

I`m thinking of replacing an ancient ATI 7200 All In Wonder Radeon with a
newer (AGP) video card, like the ATI Radeon X850Pro.

I`m not much of a "gamer", but recognize its time to finally update my video
card for a more current one, even though my 7200 AIW has performed great for
what I use it to do, through many an upgrade over the years.

I still however, want to be able to capture video from an S-Video Satellite
box output source to one of my hard drives, as I presently do with the
ancient AIW!

I don`t use the tuner or PVR functions of the AIW, so I`m hesitant to
replace it with yet another "dedicated" tuner capture card, hence my
interest in a replacement "VIVO" video card.

Which software would you recommended to use with an (ATI) VIVO video card
for
direct capturing of video from a Sat. box to hard drive?

Currently (besides the provided AIW capture software), I can use either
"NERO 6.6"
(OEM suite) and/or "neoDVD7" to capture the S-Video feed from my Sat. box
to a HDD.

Will either "Nero" or "neoDVD7" be sufficient to do the job with a
conventional VIVO (non dedicated capture) video card? Or will I need
additional/different software to compress/encode my (DISH) Sat. S-Video
feed to HDD with a VIVO card?

Thanks,
Matt

You might want to consider an X1600(with the extra letters of
your choice) VIVO card, as it would include the Avivo converter
and AVC/ H.264 video accelerations.

Luck;
