Using VIVO to watch video from VCR?

I recently bought a Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950XT video card with VIVO.
I specifically chose it for the VIVO feature along with the fast
graphics. I expected that there would be some utility that would allow
me to capture and/or watch any video input to the S-Video input of
this card. However, I can't find anything of the kind. The best I have
been able to figure out is the preview screen of my Roxio EZ-Media
Creator software's Capture program. But that is tiny and the video is
squashed vertically.

Does anyone know how I can use the VIVO input of my X1950 card to
watch video sent from my VCR on my computer monitor?

Thanks

I have used a program called DScaler with both a dedicated PCI capture card
and my X1950Pro VIVO. The results with the VIVO were very disappointing -
low resolution and rubbish quality. I tried many different programs to make
sure it wasn't DScaler but the result was always the same. The VIVO just
didn't cut it. I ended up going back to my old PCI card so I could play my
Xbox on my PC monitor.

My advice - go and buy a 15 quid capture card
(http://www.leadtek.com/eng/tv_tuner/overview.asp?lineid=6&pronameid=96).

For just watching, I use FullScreenTV.exe. Works fine with an X850XT and
X1900GT, both with VIVO functionality. Its extremely small, and the quality
sucks for full screen viewing ... but it's free. I suspect the quality issue
is more related to the video card than the app, but it works great for what
I want to do.

I run in a 320x240 window up in the corner of my desktop. Here's the command
from the icon on my desktop.

"C:\Program Files\Simple TV\FullScreenTV.exe" 1 W320 H240 X958 Y1 T1 A0

Something I just realized ... I'm using the composite input, not the
S-video. For whatever reason, I'm not able to select it in the config.
That's what you get for nuthin'!

Ditto. I used MMC with my 9800 Pro AIW and VCR.
